We must implement healthcare reform, especially tort reform, to begin to get control of the spiraling costs of healthcare. I will fight for healthcare and tort reform in Arizona, and we will make it happen in the first year of my term as Governor!

We can immediately decrease the costs of care and increase access to quality healthcare for all Arizonans by reforming our medical malpractice laws.  I support an expansion of the "loser pays" rule to deter frivolous lawsuits that drive up the cost for everyone.

I believe that ownership of the healthcare system should remain in private hands and not in the hands of a government-owned and operated single payor insurance system.  Consumers should have the freedom to choose the health insurance plan that is right for them.

Arizona families are facing higher and higher healthcare costs at a time when they can least afford them.  As Governor, I will make healthcare reform a top priority during my first-year in office.
